1. Welcome to THECSSAWARDS and please introduce yourself.
Hi, My name is Mohit Aneja (aka CJ) and I run CSSJockey.com as a freelance web developer based in City Beautiful Chandigarh, India. I enjoy web design, development, blogging, sharing best practices, music and anything to do with good food and coffee. How I get into this field? Well I started playing with computers in 1996 and learned designing tools and programming languages. I shared my knowledge on answers.yahoo.com for a while and became a top contributor in just 4 months. People were very happy with my precise answers and solutions with reference links. One day Yahoo banned my account as one of the reference website I shared was later updated to a torrent sharing website. I couldn't get my account activated as per Yahoo's policy so I decided to create a personal blog (http://www.mohitaneja.com) to share best practices. I got a few requests for projects as people liked the design I created for my own website. I completed around 40 projects in the year 2008 and it was getting harder for me to work with my job as Senior Operations Analyst at DELL International Services India. I quit my job in December 2008 and started CSSJockey.com to live my passion everyday.
