Chicago L-Shirts

DESCRIPTION

The current CTA ‘L’ signage is a modification of the original 1969 design, known as the “Kennedy-Dan Ryan” signage, set in Helvetica and color-coded to match the eight corresponding CTA ‘L’ lines. Chicago pride is induced by the kinship we feel with our neighborhood and the transit lines that connect them. That sense of pride, coupled with our affection for typography and design, have inspired us to create this series of transit t-shirts (also known as L-Shirts).

I can honestly say I love the idea of mixing function with fashion. I love the transit shirt idea because not only is it very stylish but serves a purpose as well. If a bunch of tourists come to Chicago and alot of people have shirts on like these in the subway it may help people know their way around and not get lost. Have you thought about trying to sell your idea to NYC, the subway capital of the world?

I would have preferred a dynamic loading rather than loading progressive jpeg …. But the photos are remarkable, the site is simple and sober, but if it remains as simple because the shopping cart system is not managing itself …. (8/10)
