TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A SITE OF THE DAY OR SITE OF THE MONTH AWARD FROM THE CSS AWARDS THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA IS NECESSARY:
web design 50% creativity 25% content 15% usability 10%
The valuation consists of 3 steps:
Step 1:
The CSS Awards team goes through an initial selection of the best CSS websites as related to the above mentioned characteristics. Once the website is selected it passes directly to be judged for a CSS Award. If your website is selected
you will receive a notification in your e-mail that you have earned an “Honorable Mention” from The CSS Awards
Step 2:
The 10 judges on the panel have between 15 to 30 days to evaluate the selected websites and rate them on a scale of 1-10 in the following categories: Design, Creativity, Content, and Usability.
Step 3:
The CSS Awards team receives the evaluations from the judges and creates an average mean for each website. The following categories are graded on the 1-10 point system:
![]()
Using:
A = Mathematical average from the judges based on “Web Design”
B = Mathematical average from the judges based on “Creativity”
C = Mathematical average from the judges based on “Content”
D = Mathematical average from the judges based on “Usability”

The website with the most points will win the Site of the Day, to be received in the month following the judges final scores.
If your CSS website has been selected as a winner, you will receive an e-mail notification and be entered automatically for the Site of the Month contest. If you win the Site of the Month contest you also win the selected prize of the month!
Each website that has won either Site of the Day or Site of the Month awards will be evaluated by our international panel of judges again for the highly anticipated Website of the Year 2009 Award, the most important award given by The CSS Awards.
If your CSS website has not been selected as a Site of the Day, remember that when judging a competition of the highest level, the difference between a selected website and a non-selected website is very minimal. The CSS Awards judges take many factors into consideration before making their final decisions.
